Materials for Outreach - Making a Dry Ice Comet
From AstronomyOutreach network
Making a Comet in the Classroom was written by Dennis Schatz from the Pacific Science Center in 1985, and is one of the outreach resources distributed by the National Optical Astronomy Observatory (NOAO).
"Making a Comet in the Classroom" features a recipe for making a dry ice comet for classroom demonstrations. The resulting "comet" is a very effective demonstration that is dramatic and memorable, and shows how comets work.
