The Northeast Astronomy Forum is is hosted by the Rockland Astronomy Club and held each year in Suffern New York at Rockland Community College. The event attracts over a hundred commercial exhibitors from the telescope industry, notable lecturers, and is host to a solar star party.

History

The idea for the conference was inspired by Allan Green (President of the Rockland Astronomy Club), who came up with the name "Northeast Astronomy Forum" (NEAF) and Al Nagler (founder of TeleVue). Allan established the first event with Don Urban, who brought important organizational changes to the RAC, including holding regular meetings, and established NEAF to be the event it is today.

NEAF, now chaired by Alan Traino, has risen to a world class event attracting thousands to the annual event.
