Vermont Astronomical Society is a group of amateur astronomers with varying backgrounds and levels of expertise, but all wiht a passion for astronomy and related fields. Beginning amateur astronomers of those with only a casualinterest are welcome to attend our monthly meetings and public observing events. If you spend you clear nights looking up at the stars and wondering which constellatinos you are seeing, wish you knew the names of the most brilliant stars, of where to find the planets currently visible, the VAS can help.

Membership includes a subscription to our quarterly newsletter, The Morning Star. All members may enjoy use of any VAS equipment once they have demonstrated competence and responsibility in doing so.
